Getting started

How do I scan a product?

Open Pury, tap a category (Food, Cosmetics or Supplements) and point the camera at the ingredients list or barcode. The purity verdict appears in a couple of seconds.

What does the score mean?

Pury rates each product 0–100 and gives a verdict — Clean, Worth a look or Best avoided — based on additives, ultra-processing (NOVA), allergens, and category-specific rules (e.g. the EU cosmetics restricted list). It is educational information, not medical advice.

How do I set my allergens and diet?

Go to the Profile tab and add the allergens and diets you want flagged. Matching products then get a personal alert — computed on your device.

Can I change the language?

Yes. Open Profile → Language and choose English, Français, Deutsch, Español, Italiano or Български. Pury also follows your iPhone's system language by default.

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No. Pury has no account and works fully offline. A connection is only used if you scan a barcode (to look it up in the open Open Food Facts database) or enable the optional Claude AI feature with your own API key.

How do subscriptions work?

Pury is free to use. Pury Plus and Pury AI are optional subscriptions that unlock unlimited history, unlimited allergens & diets, full insights, data export and AI explanations. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and can be managed or cancelled any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
